Basic Info & Submitting to this Section:

For new submissions to this section, and to change existing information, please use the most appropriate "form" below and email the gallery staff at historyofhyrule.fanworks@gmail.com. You do not need to include all the information, but requesting frequent changes slows everything down, so please try to be as thorough as you would eventually like it to be. Anything you don't include will simply be left blank and we will assume you just didn't want that info posted. If you are submitting more than one piece/group in your email; use a form for each piece/group so it is clear which info goes with what. If you have any questions, you can email us or ask on this thread.

Additional Submission Info:

  • I can't accept images that have a lot of jpg compression or ones that have parts that were poorly erased (like by using the wand tool, so there's jagged edges.) Please be in charge of enforcing your own quality standards.
  • Use can use official & semi-official art or media without detailed credit. But you should include names & links if you use another's fanwork.

*Keywords: This is just an option so people can use google to search for your wallpapers. Try to stick with just the characters, items, or games featured in the work.

Additional Considerations:

If you would like to help us out, you can rename your files so they fit within our format. here is an example for one wallpaper:

Wallpapers are different than other media because we come up with a short title for each one and place that first, with an underscore after it. We then place the dimensions after the title. (Usually largest side first, but it doesn't really matter.) This way the sets will automatically be grouped by their name. Here is the wallpaper folder, which will show you what I mean. If you don't want to come up with a title, or abbreviation, just use your name and place a number after it for each new group.

  • When naming files: avoid caps, dashes, and absolutely no symbols or spaces can be in the file names.
  • We can also use a "thumbnail" image that is 200 wide (height can be anything.) Instead of the dimensions, call it "sample." Here is an example.
  • You can have up to 4 sizes listed for both standard and widescreen papers (This means a total of 8 for each paper.)
  • Sometimes we group an artist's wallpapers by theme. Example.
  • If you make wallpapers out of your own fanwork, tell us when this is the case so we can link back to the thread for the original piece. Example.
  • You can send in odd sized wallpapers. Let us know what they're for, if anything, like mobile devices or double monitors.

*Keywords: This is just an option so people can use google to search for your avatars. Try to stick with just the characters, items, or games featured in the work.

Additional Considerations:

If you would like to help us out, you can rename your files so they fit within our format:

When naming avatar files, we use the artist's name as found on the site and place it first, with an underscore after it. (You will find your site name by looking at the actual image file name of your bio header) We then place numbers after that, or a short title with numbers so that they will group together. Examples would be melora_001.png or melora_fight001.png.

  • When naming files: avoid caps, dashes, and absolutely no symbols or spaces can be in the file names.
  • Sometimes we group an artist's avatars by theme. Example.
  • 100x100 is the most common size for avatars found on this site. 50x50 will probably be the next most common because of DeviantART. Size variations are fine.
  • If there is anything you do NOT want to see people do with your avatars, please say so in the field given to you in the form.
