To get the Letter you must, from Start, go right one screen, up five, right five, up one (without taking the ladder), right one and up one.

Key
Link needs these to open the locked doors in the labyrinths. You will usually find them inside the Labyrinths themselves.
Magic Key
The Magical Key is very useful. Link can use it over and over again. Once he's got this Magical Key, "A" will be displayed showing that he's unstoppable.

To get the Magic Key: From the beginning of Level Eight, go up six screens, right one, then take the Secret Passage.

Magical Clock
The enemy stops moving when Link has this. Mind you, it works only for the screen he's on at the moment. You find these randomly when you kill enemies.
Rubies
Rubies are the money used in this Kingdom. They sometimes appear when Link disposes of the enemy. If Link collects enough of them, he can buy treasure from the merchant. In all, Link can own up to 255 yellow rubies, and he may use them any way he likes.
5 Rubies
Rubies are the money used in this Kingdom. They sometimes appear when Link disposes of the enemy. If Link collects enough of them, he can buy treasure from the merchant. Blue rubies are worth five times more than the yellow ones. In all, Link can own up to 255 yellow rubies, and he may use them any way he likes.
Heart
As the enemy attacks Link, the LIFE hearts at the top of the main screen turn white. These hearts show how much life Link has remaining. The red hearts are Link's life force. When they all turn white, that's the end of Link and the end of the game. When they are all red, Link can throw his sword to attack the enemy from a distance. You can find hearts when you defeat enemies. A Heart turns a white heart back to a red heart.
Heart Container
The Heart Container increases the number of LIFE hearts that Link has. You will get one each time you destroy a boss, but there are also a few hidden throughout the kingdom:
  • One - From Start, go four screens to the right. Use your Bombs just left of the pathway leading up to find a secret door which leads to a Heart Container.
  • Two - From the entrance to Level One, go one screen down and one screen left. Use the Candle to burn the fifth bush from the right to find a hidden staircase which leads to a Heart Container.
  • Three - The third Heart Container is found in the desert. Exit the desert at the top right and use your Bombs on the lower-right corner of the big rock to find it.
  • Four - Walk to the East coast, then use the Ladder to get to the dock which has a Heart Container resting on it.
  • Five - Beginning on the East Coast, use the Raft on a dock to travel north across the ocean. You'll soon find a door which leads to the final Heart Container.
Fairy
The Fairies live in springs here and there. They have a magical power that turns all of Link's LIFE hearts back to red. During the game, if Link defeats the enemy and rescues the Fairy who's in their devilish hands, she'll turn all the white hearts red.
